Ħamrun Spartans are planning to take the team to a training camp in Austria as part of their preparations for the new season, club president Joseph Portelli announced on Thursday.
The Spartans are currently on cloud nine at the moment after they were declared as the new league champions after the 2020-21 season was brought to a halt by the Malta FA Executive Committee due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, the club’s top hierarchy have already started their preparations for the new season and Portelli announced that they are planning to send the team to a training camp abroad.

A reform of the controversial rural policy which gives the Planning Authority a magic wand to change rural ruins into villas with pools, is still ongoing since the review started back in October 2019.
The PA is attributing the delay to the time needed to assess the “voluminous” submissions it has received.
Ħamrun turned red and black on Friday after the locality s Spartans were declared Premier League champions.

Ħamrun Spartans are among the top five clubs to have won the title, following Sliema and Floriana with 26 titles each, Valletta (25) and Hibernians (12).
The last time they won the title in 1991 closed a glorious decade in the club s history under Victor Tedesco s leadership.
