PASSAIC COUNTY, NEW JERSEY - On March 11
th, the County of Passaic is hosting an opening reception for three distinctly unique exhibitions by three local artists. The exhibits are currently on view and will run through the end of May 2021 at the Passaic County Arts Center at the John W. Rea House, 675 Goffle Road in Hawthorne, New Jersey.
The three installations are as follows: Sense and Sustainability curated by Poramit Thantapalit is an installation comprised entirely of recycled materials which includes plastics, labels, and discarded clothing. Thantapalit, a native of Thailand, incorporated cyanotype photogram while developing the piece. A cyanotype photogram is a photographic printing process that creates a cyan-blue print made without a camera by placing items directly onto photographic paper.
