The Advance publishes a photo of a frozen Raritan Bay, off the beaches of Tottenville. The image shows the ice near the Ward Point Light, a half-mile from shore.
According to the caption, an ice-bound steamer in the picture is waiting for the ice to thaw in order to enter the Raritan Rver.
Seen in the photo, from left to right, are Tottenville residents Joseph Kish, John Kasborwitz, Kenneth Harvey and Adolph Kasborwitz with their pal, Prince.
