THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) â A 64-year-old Three Rivers man was arrested Sunday morning after he was caught trying to steal a catalytic converter.
The Michigan State Police say troopers were called at about 6:15 a.m. to the 16000 block of Marcellus Road after employees of a business discovered a man cutting a catalytic converter off a company vehicle.
The man fled into a wooded area which led to troopers and members of the St. Joseph County Sheriffâs Department establishing a perimeter.
The man was eventually located by the Three Rivers Police Department K-9 Jake and his handler. The suspect was arrested and lodged at the St. Joseph County Jail for felony charges.

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office has charged a woman in connection with a crash that left one person injured.
27-year-old Searra Huereca of South Bend has been charged in connection with a crash on Bremen Highway/S.R. 331 that happened on February 19.
According to investigators, the crash happened when Huereca, who was traveling north, crossed the center line and struck a southbound vehicle, police said.
On the day of the crash, officers with the St. Joseph County Police Department arrived on scene, just north of New Road, and saw two SUVS, both with heavy front end damage.

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Two people were arrested after allegedly leading police on a chase and damaging other vehicles during the pursuit Monday morning, the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team reported.
At 10:15 a.m., officers from the Mishawaka Police Street Crimes Unit tried to arrest 30-year-old Nicholas Singleton on active warrants after he was located in an orange Chevy Avalanche at an apartment complex on Douglas Road, police said.
Singleton was in the passenger seat of the Avalanche and a woman, 30-year-old Krystal Pinkowski, was in the driver’s seat.

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. –
Just before 9 a.m. Thursday morning, a trooper stopped a silver SUV for speeding on the Toll Road near the 68-milemarker westbound.
When the trooper approached the SUV, he saw alleged marijuana in plain view and allegedly smelled burnt marijuana, reports said.
While talking to the driver, identified as 37-year-old Anton Simmons of Middletown, NY, the trooper noticed that the driver might be impaired, reports said.
The trooper found a plastic bag allegedly containing marijuana and a plastic bag allegedly containing cocaine inside a shoebox that was next to where a 4-year-old child had been sitting, troopers said.
