John R. Pallotta, 53, of Greenwood Street, Lake Placid died Monday, Jan. 25, 2021. John was born April 15, 1967, in Norwalk, Connecticut, the son of John and Sylvia (Gribble) Pallotta. John grew up in Wilton, Connecticut, moved to Lake Placid around 30 years ago and found a home here. John worked as a tradesman, including a house painter and carpenter, and worked construction for many years. John loved the outdoors; he enjoyed the time he spent hunting, fishing and camping. John could often be seen riding his bike around town, often with his dog Rusty. He was always friendly and was willing to lend a hand to a friend whenever possible.

Throughout these past several months, children have seen multiple schools and businesses close their doors. They ve watch loved one s and others pass away due to COVID-19. Itâs all taking a toll on them and their mental health.
Normally, kids in Central Texas, like 11-year-old Ronreco Foster, would be enjoying playing basketball and hanging out with his friends. But due to the pandemic, normal is no longer the same.
âEven though Iâm home schooled, I was able to play with all my friends. I kind of miss them,â he said.
