A community is demanding safer roadways after a head-on collision in Cobb County.
COBB COUNTY, Ga. - A community is demanding Cobb County leaders take more action to protect drivers.
Their frustrations boiling over after a woman was seriously hurt during a head-on collision this past weekend.
The stepfather of 21-year-old Devon Reynolds said her intestines and two major arteries were severed when the car she was riding in collided with another vehicle on Pete Shaw Road.
People living here said accidents happen often but this one was one of the worst.

COBB COUNTY, GA Cobb County residents will soon have a coronavirus vaccine call center to field questions and help get vaccine appointments.
Cobb board members approved a $2 million contract at the March 9 board meeting using Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act money for the Cobb Emergency Management Agency to establish a COVID-19 vaccination call center and purchase customer support software. The motion was approved in a 4-1 vote.
This contract approval comes just one day after Georgia expanded vaccine eligibility to primary and secondary school staff and faculty, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and caregivers of children with complex medical conditions.

COBB COUNTY, GA Cobb County commissioners shut down a Marietta home that was effectively serving as a boarding house, per a Board of Commissioners vote at its Tuesday zoning hearing.
Local resident John Lay was renting out the eight bedrooms in his 3,400-square-foot home on Austell Circle to tenants, but was put on a code notice by the county in September after neighbor complaints. He was allowed to house up to eight adults, but only two unrelated adults, according to Cobb County code but his tenants included more than two unrelated adults.
