SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Christmas Cheer, one of the South Lake Tahoe nonprofits tasked with keeping food on the tables of local residents, is looking for two volunteer drivers to help them with their weekly operations. If you can drive a U-Haul and have some free time to help the South Lake Tahoe community, contact Joanne Shope at the Christmas Cheer Office at 1120 3rd Street or by calling (530) 542-4934. The days drivers are needed are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. There is also an immediate need for a volunteer or two at the produce giveaway at the American Legion on Friday, February 19 at 12:30 p.m. See Joanne or Patricia. The Legion is located at 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe.
