Mike Turk Attends Final Meeting After 34 Years On Joliet Council

(City of Joliet ) JOLIET, IL Monday marked the final time that Mike Turk was introduced as a member of the Joliet City Council. Turk had 34 years representing the citizens of Joliet, but he chose not to seek a ninth term of office in the April 6 elections. At Monday s meeting, the Council read a proclamation thanking Turk for serving on the Joliet City Council since winning office for the first time in 1987. He had previously served on the Joliet Park Board.

On Friday morning, the Will County Forest Preserve District announced that Matt Pehle has now been placed on administrative leave. According to his LinkedIn profile, Pehle was the director of finance at the Joliet Park District from April 2013 until he left in December 2019. In January 2020, Pehle became the chief financial officer for the Will County Forest Preserve District. At that time, Pehle replaced John Gerl as chief financial officer after Gerl retired from the forest preserve.

Really. Not good news by all means. There were a few other people out here this morning. They’ve left.” Vaughan is one of about 1.25 million licensed anglers fishing throughout the state each year. The DNR is offering a chance try the sport during the winter free fishing weekend on Saturday, Jan. 16, and Sunday, Jan. 17.
