Starting next year UConn business students can choose to earn a degree in financial technology or fintech thanks to a new master’s program in the cutting-edge field.  UConn’s School of Business will offer the program, which brings together courses in advanced business analytics, technology solutions, and financial services. Fintech focuses on sectors including blockchain, peer-to-peer lending, mobile payment systems, robo-advising and automated insurance underwriting. “Companies large and small are eager to hire experts in this high-paying field,’’ UConn business school Dean John A. Elliott said. “This is a new, fresh, exciting and revolutionary space, and it offers vast opportunities to those who pursue it.’’
