Revs announce fund to support grassroots organizations in the fight for equality and against systemic racism

On Thursday, the New England Revolution organization unveiled the New England Revolution Players Collaborative Fund.
The fund was created for Revolution players to help support various organizations in the New England area to create meaningful change in their local communities. A committee of Revolution players, including Black Players for Change co-founder Earl Edwards Jr. will overlook the fund’s operations.
The New England Revolution Players Collaborative Fund will begin awarding $20,000 grants on a bi-monthly basis, thanks to owner Robert Kraft. The money will be awarded to local grassroots campaigns as they promote equality and end systemic racism.

Jim Murphy, an award-winning editor at WBZ-TV, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on July 20 at the age of 44. Since then, those who knew and loved Murphy have donated over $200,000 to support his family.
Murphy, who lived in Duxbury, is remembered by family, friends, and colleagues as a devoted dad and family man, and an incredibly talented and accomplished editor.
