Drew Estate Previewing New Line During May Live Show
Many cigar companies have tried to use virtual live shows to try to interact with consumers during the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, perhaps none more so than Drew Estate, which has hosted numerous virtual selling events some featuring special cigars with retailers.
Now, the company is using its virtual platform to preview an upcoming release.
On May 6, Drew Estate will announce the new cigar during one of its Freestyle Live broadcasts on its Facebook page. Unlike the weekly shows, this one will feature a new cigar, one that consumers will have a chance to purchase from their local stores before the event. During the event, the company will announce the new cigar and give away a number of prizes.
Liga Privada 10 Year Aniversario A Savage Feast Coming to Select Events
During the February 24 edition of Drew Estate’s “Sticks & Sips” show on Facebook, the company announced the upcoming release of the Liga Privada 10 Year Aniversario A Savage Feast, a new event-only cigar that is scheduled to debut in May.
The cigar uses the company’s Feral Flying Pig vitola, a 5 3/8 x 60 perfecto, and will only be available as a sales incentive at Drew Estate events that Jonathan Drew attends. The cigar comes packaged in a two-count coffin alongside a Liga Privada 10 Year Aniversario flying pig cigar rest.
The blend remains the same as the Liga Privada 10 Year Aniversario, which uses a hybrid Connecticut-grown criollo wrapper, a Mexican San Andrés Otapan Negro Último Corte binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and Pennsylvania, the latter a Green River One Sucker ligero.
Drew Estate’s Undercrown Line Getting New Packaging
When you see the Undercrown line on shelves in the coming weeks, it will likely have a different look to it.
Drew Estate announced that it is updating the brand’s packaging to a more compact, shelf-friendly format, while each box will still hold 25 cigars. The changes will apply to the Undercrown Maduro, Undercrown Shade and Undercrown Sun Grown lines, though it will not affect the boxes for the Flying Pig, Tubo and Corona Pequeña vitolas.
None of the bands on the cigars are changing, either.
“Undercrown’s authenticity amplifies the heart and spirit of Drew Estate,” said Jonathan Drew, founder and president of Drew Estate, via a press release. “Since we first launched Undercrown a decade ago, the narrative has been consistent, telling the fiery story of ‘who we are’ from a behind-the-scenes standpoint. The Undercrown brandmark and ideology bears witness to our love for Estelí and the enthusiastic and gifted peo
US boosting vaccine deliveries amid complaints of shortages

Answering growing frustration over vaccine shortages, President Joe Biden announced that the U.S. is ramping up deliveries to hard-pressed states over the next three weeks and expects to provide enough doses to vaccinate 300 million Americans by the end of the summer or early fall.
Biden, calling the push a “wartime effort,” said Tuesday the administration was working to buy an additional 100 million doses of each of the two approved coronavirus vaccines. He acknowledged that states in recent weeks have been left guessing how much vaccine they will have from one week to the next.

Coronavirus deaths and cases per day in the U.S. dropped markedly over the past couple of weeks but are still running at alarmingly high levels, and the effort to snuff out COVID-19 is becoming an ever more urgent race between the vaccine and the mutating virus.
The government’s top infectious-disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, said the improvement in numbers around the country appears to reflect a “natural peaking and then plateauing” after a holiday surge, rather than the arrival of the vaccine in mid-December.
