(KMIZ) Cole County Prosecuting Attorney Locke Thompson said Monday that his office will not fire charges after Jefferson City police shot and killed a man earlier this month. (AP) - Officers who shot and killed a man in Jefferson City earlier this month will not face charges, Cole County Prosecutor Locke Thompson said Monday. The officers who shot James Reising, 59, on Jan. 3 at a shopping center were acting to defend themselves and others, Thompson said.
