Norwalk Public Library’s “One Book One Community” Zoom discussion group will be open to the public 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday May 10, according to a press release. The topic will be Marcelo Hernandez Castillo’s well-reviewed memoir
Children of the Land, in which Mexican-born Castillo, who entered the U.S. with his parents at age five, recalls his often difficult journey from undocumented status to earning a Master’s degree at University of Michigan.

Norwalk, CT – Norwalk Public Library is hosting its second One Book One Community discussion via Zoom on Monday, May 10, 2021, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with Marcelo Hernandez Castillo’s “Children of the Land” as the topic of conversation.
Lucia Rilling, Nowalk’s First Lady; Edwin Camacho, Board of Estimate and Taxation (BET) Chair, Dr. Alexandra Estrella, Norwalk Public Schools Superintendent; Diana Carpio, Norwalk Board of Education Vice Chair; James Martinez, Norwalk Public Schools Director of School Counseling; and Eloisa Melendez, Democratic Town Committee Chair will lead the discussion.

Here s When Love, Victor Season Two Will Release on Hulu
Victor, Benji, and Mia return to Creekwood High early this summer.
Hulu just announced the release dates for season two of
Love, Simon, the heartwarming 2018 film starring Nick Robinson as a high school student trying to connect with his sexuality and his first love.
Season one of
Love, Victor ended on a cliffhanger, with Victor Salazar (Michael Cimino), finally working up the courage to come out to his conservative parents, but not revealing their reactions. Season two promises to show not just how his family comes to terms with the revelation, but also the difficulties Victor faces living as an out star athlete entering his junior year at Creekwood High. Salazar must also deal with Mia (Rachel Naomi Hilson), his heartbroken ex-girlfriend, while experiencing the joy of his first relationship with boyfriend Benji (George Sear).
