Late steal, Miles basket spark Mad Ants to thrilling victory
JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette
Mad Ants coach Tom Hankins had plenty of things concerning him when the game began at 11 a.m. today: His team s physical and mental fatigue for a second game in 20 hours; losing arguably his best player, Oshae Brissett, to a minor leg injury minutes before tip-off; and knowledge that the Mad Ants can hardly afford to lose if they want to qualify for the postseason.

Hustle Stat of the Week
7: The Memphis Hustle have trailed by double digits in 7 of their 9 games this season. This is due in large part to the Hustle starting games poorly, with the game against Erie being the only good start the team has had. They ve been outscored 236-187, good for over 6 points per game, in first quarters this season, prior to the matchup against the Ignite.
That number would look a lot worse if the Hustle didn’t typically close the 1st quarter on a run to get back into things. Simply, the Hustle will need to start games better to start winning consistently.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) Teddy Allen set a Pinnacle Bank Arena & Nebraska men’s basketball home game record with 41 points but the Huskers lost to Penn State on Tuesday night, 86-83.
Allen ended up one point short of the single-game NU record of 42 set by Eric Piatkowski in 1994. Trey McGowens added 17 points for the Big Red. McGowens had a chance to tie the game with less than ten seconds remaining but his three point attempt missed.

The Agua Caliente Clippers’ season-long run of alternating wins and losses was snapped Monday, after they lost 129-90 to the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League bubble in Orlando.
The loss is the Clippers’ second in a row, after dropping Sunday’s close game against the Lakeland Magic, and leaves Agua Caliente with a 3-5 record for the season. But a 39-point loss from this game is probably going to sting a bit more for Paul Hewitt’s group.
The Clippers started the game with James Palmer, Jr., J.J. Avila, Emanuel Terry, Jahmi’us Ramsey, and Tyrone Wallace. Warriors veteran Jeremy Lin and rookie Nico Mannion were out for this game with injuries.
