The Edmonton Oilers played a strong game, out-chancing the Winnipeg Jest, but they’re nonetheless now in a deep, deep hole.
Paul Statsny’s outside shot in overtime was screened by both Dmitry Kulikov and Adam Larsson and found its way past Mike Smith.

Canucks 4, Oilers 1
Edmonton Oilers controlled Saturday afternoon’s game for extended stretches, peppering the Vancouver net with a variety of high end scoring chances. But they were unable to solve a red-hot Thatcher Demko, as the Canucks’ goaltender delivered a number of spectacular saves. Demko stopped everything he could see and more than one that he couldn’t as the Oilers delivered quality shots including about four breakaways.

A business owner said he was called “crazy” for taking over a pub during the pandemic, but after giving the site a new lease of life it is going better than he ever expected.
Despite a challenging start to the business after another lockdown, a flood and current coronavirus restrictions, James Neale, the new owner of The White Horse pub, in South Lopham, said the relaunch of the business has been brilliant .

The village pub was closed by its former owners in March 2020 with no plans to reopen, but Mr Neale, a photographer and Norwich salon owner, decided to take on the challenge and opened the business for the first time briefly in December.
