Cosmetic Care expands in Amesbury
Wicked Local
The following was submitted by the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce.
AMESBURY – Erin Sheats was a decade into her career as an Emergency Room nurse at Merrimack Valley Hospital, when one of her supervisors first suggested she explore cosmetic care.
“My supervisor was in the process of getting certified to administer Botox,” said Sheats. “I hadn’t really considered it before but given the skills my Supervisor thought it would be a good fit.”
Sheats explored the certification process, educating herself for the better part of a year.
“I come from a family of entrepreneurs, so it had always intrigued me to open my own business,” said Sheats. “Having gone to school for nursing, I didn’t expect the two paths to merge. So, the past few years have been exciting.”

Four area lawmakers are flagging what they call a “dire situation” with rapid erosion at Salisbury Beach.
Sens. Diana DiZoglio and Bruce Tarr and Reps. Lenny Mirra and James Kelcourse wrote to Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Kathleen Theoharides last week, seeking a severe weather emergency declaration.
“This must be addressed as soon as possible,” the letter said. “We can use the example of what is happening in the Reservation Terrace area of the City of Newburyport as a reference of why immediate action must be taken. Residents there are seeing major flooding of their homes and destruction of their property. If we do not act quickly, we are going to see history repeat itself in Salisbury.”
