FESTIVAL goers were treated to an evening of entertainment at part one of an annual festival. Summer Festival 2021 Part One saw talented local musicians take to the stage at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium, home of Barrow Raiders, to a crowd of socially-distanced music fans. Music began at 1pm, lasting until 11pm, with a bar and food provided by Barrow Raiders. Jamie Rooke of Knights Promotion, organisers of the festival, said: “It went really well. “There was a good turn out, it rained during the day so we were a bit worried but as soon as the rain disappeared everyone started coming in.

A crowd-pleasing summer party which drew a bumper crowd to Barrow is set to return – and has revealed some of the famous faces who will be starring onstage. Held on July 9-10, Summer Festival 2021 is back with a line-up that’s sure to please at Craven Park, Presented by Knight Promotions, the festival saw great success last August as one of the only live music events to take place in Barrow in 2020. This year the festival is full of the area s best bands and DJs and will also feature Radio 1’s Jordan North, The Dales and Andrew Ellis and Thomas Turgoose from This is England.
