Dylan Larkin still can’t swing a golf club, but at least he’s been able to shed the neck brace and drive his car.
“I was upset when it happened, I was pretty hurt,” Larkin said Wednesday. “I don’t really ever see a time in a game when I want to crosscheck somebody when they’re down. I just have to be careful and use it as a learning experience that you have to protect yourself even on faceoffs.
“Right now the most important thing is resting and letting it heal. I believe I got pretty lucky and I don’t have to have surgery.”

Due to the unique nature of the 2020-21 NHL season, the Dallas Stars only played seven teams this year, eight times each. That gave the chance for the teams, fans, and media alike to grow extra familiar with their rivals’ rosters over the course of the season.
So which Stars players stood out the most for their opponets? Saad Yousuf polled some of his fellow beat writers across the division, and Roope Hintz was (unsurprisingly) the big name:
“[Hintz] was dangerous in every game I saw him against the [Tampa Bay] Lightning. It was even more impressive to learn that he was playing through an injury all year. I obviously knew of Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn, but I felt that Hintz is one of the more underrated players in the league.”

The Stanley Cup Playoffs will kickoff on Saturday with the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals kicking things off. The Dallas Stars may not be competing for Lord Stanely this season, but there are still some storylines that Stars fans can get behind.
BOSTON BRUINS
Why to root for them: It might be Zdeno Chara’s last rodeo, and the team standing in his way will be his old mates. A veritable David vs Goliath, if you will.
WASHINGTON CAPITALS
Why to root for them: TJ Oshie losing his father and then netting a hat trick in the game immediately after is easily something you’d want to see him build upon in a magical postseason run.
