PHILADELPHIA On the Eagles’ NovaCare Complex practice field, No. 10 was stretching with the assembled players, preparing for the first practice of minicamp. The jersey looked different this time than it has in past years. For starters, it was red, symbolizing it was a quarterback.
The other difference was that the player was not DeSean Jackson. Instead, undrafted free agent Jamie Newman was present, ready to work with the receivers in attendance. Newman was one of seven undrafted free agents the Eagles signed before the start of the team’s rookie minicamp.

Sirianni, Eagles already knows that Jalen Hurts will be the starting QB, even if they have not yet accepted
The Eagles-especially head coach Nick Sirianni (Nick Sirianni) has been reluctant to name Jalen Hurts as the starting quarterback for the 2021 season, despite the fact that he is only a quarter of the two quarters currently on the roster. The other is the elderly Joe Flacco, who is presumably his mentor and supported the QB and former Heisman finalists in the second year. Yes, they also have UDFA Jamie Newman (Jamie Newman), but he has a long way to go to build a 53-man lineup.
