This happened on Tuesday, May 25. Just after 2pm, North Wales Police received a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a black-coloured Ford Fiesta on the A470 near to Dolwyddelan Castle. The emergency services attended, including the Air Ambulance, and the motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital in Stoke with potentially life changing injuries. The driver of the Fiesta was uninjured. Sergeant Jason Diamond, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have been travelling along the A470 and who may have dash cam footage to contact us.

Police appeal for witnesses after Rhosnesni Lane crash left occupant of car with ‘serious life threatening injuries’
UPDATE 10:20PM: Police are appealing for witnesses following the road traffic collision on Rhosnesni Lane / The Beeches this evening.
Sergeant Jason Diamond, said: “We are appealing to anybody who was in the area or may have witnessed the collision that occurred at approximately 7.20pm this evening to contact us.”
“The driver of an X registered, silver Vauxhall Astra lost control of the vehicle. The collision caused serious life threatening injuries to an occupant of the car.”
Witnesses or anybody with information or dash cam footage that could assist the investigation are asked to contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting reference Z068200.

A FAMILY has paid tribute to a well-loved character following a fatal crash on the A494 near Dolgellau. Phillip James Roberts, 62, from the Criccieth area, was killed during the two-vehicle crash between Rhydymain to Dolgellau on Thursday morning. His family said: “Phil ‘Chips’ Roberts was a much loved Father, Son and Taid, and a well-loved character in the area, who was bought up and lived in Criccieth, but popular also through having been a local taxi driver for a number of years. He had many friends, always had time for a chat, and had a great sense of humour. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
