AN 86-YEAR-old woman died in hospital after she suffered a fall at home, an inquest opening heard. Barbara Ann Richman was at her home in Mislingford Road, Swanmore, on November 11 when she fell and her lifeline alarm was activated. Mrs Richmond’s daughter was called, along with the ambulance service, and she was taken to Southampton General Hospital. She remained there until she died on December 14. An inquest was opened into her death by area coroner Jason Pegg at Winchester Coroner’s Court. A post mortem into her death gave the causes of death as hypoactive delirium, multiple falls, hospital acquired pneumonia, frailty of old age and postural hypotension.
