Jim Willmore never talked too much about his job at Qualcomm, the San Diego-based mobile communications chip maker where he worked for 21 years, most recently as senior director of engineering.
So, it was a total surprise for his mother Betty Willmore and sister Tracy Punsel in 2018 when they learned something incredible about the Madison native and University of Wisconsin-Madison alumnus (BSECE ‘84). Willmore’s name, along with those of his team members, was being inscribed on a small helicopter called Ingenuity being sent to Mars as part of NASA’s Mars 2020 Mission. “That’s all we knew about the project,” says Betty, “but we were very excited.”
FMC to celebrate 25th anniversary of Talstar
The corporation is set to unveil and new logo and bottle design for Talstar along with an anniversary sweepstakes.
PHILADELPHIA – FMC Corporation will celebrate its 25
th anniversary of Talstar insecticide registration throughout 2021 including multiple promotions, a sweepstakes for end users, an updated logo and bottle and monthly training events for end users to earn Continuing Education Units (CEU). Talstar insecticide provides long-lasting, broad-spectrum control of pests in industrial, commercial and food-handling areas as well as in lawns and ornamentals.
“We are proud to highlight the longevity of the Talstar brand,” said Sam Pass, pest and nursery market manager at FMC. “Pest management professionals and lawn care operators have built their businesses on a product like Talstar. We look forward to a yearlong celebration and offering additional resources for our end user customers.
Performance tiers on John Deere construction equipment will be differentiated by varying levels of performance, serviceability, innovation and comfort.

On Tuesday, Event #8: $400 Triple Draw 3-Game Mix drew 26 entrants who generated an $8,450 prize pool, a tad ahead of the $8K GTD.
Only the top three finishers made the money, and after Jamie Garcia bowed out in third place for $1,690, the title came down to Casey Robbins and Jason Daly.
The former ultimately prevailed and took home the $4,225 first-place prize. It marked a new career-high score for Robbins, who originally hails from Wisconsin.
Prior to the win, his best score was $3,704 for finishing 26th in the 2019 MSPT Wisconsin State Poker Championship at Milwaukee s Potawatomi Casino.
