Come January, the city of Green Lake will have a new public works director as Glen McCarty will retire from the position after more than 35 years in public service. During Monday’s Committee of the Whole meeting, it was announced that longtime public works employee Jason Carley will be promoted to department director next month. According to Mayor Ray Radis, the city’s Human Resources Committee interviewed three candidates before unanimously deciding Carley was the right fit for the position.
