Outside Weymouth Police Station. Picture: Google A MAN spat at his ex-partner’s sister and later committed a ‘dirty protest’ in a police cell, a court heard. Alexander West, 44, was at an address in Shaftesbury on Saturday, June 20, 2020 with his then partner’s family. Prosecuting, Jason Spellman, told Weymouth Magistrates’ Court how family members were having a glass of wine and West asked if he could have a glass before going to a bedroom. He then returned asking for another glass, but the victim declined and told him the wine was to be shared. West claimed he was owed a bottle of wine by the victim’s mother, and went to the kitchen to retrieve one.

Dorset ex-policewoman spared jail after hitting cheating husband with lamp and chasing him in garden

A former police officer has avoided jail time after she hit her cheating husband around the head with a lamp and threatened to kill him during a heated divorce row.  Susan Dodge, 64, of Sherborne in Dorset, also threw tea cups, wine glasses, a diffuser and a computer hard drive at her unfaithful spouse Alan during an argument over the couple s divorce. Mr Dodge was forced to flee his wife s fit of rage by running bare-foot over broken glass that had been smashed over the floor of the couple s Dorset home. Once outside, an angry Mrs Dodge chased him around a tree while wielding two wine bottles and threatening to kill him.

Jailed in February: 10 people jailed for crimes in Dorset

The list below includes some of the offenders that were put behind bars by judges during February. The offenders names and a summary of what led to them appearing in the dock are as follows: Group posed as police officers and kidnapped man Ashley Beeden (top left), Leslie Richardson (top right), Nigel Moors (bottom left), Lewis Needham (bottom right) were jailed Leslie Richardson, also known as Leslie Ades, aged 53 and of Westcliff-on-Sea, Lewis James Needham, aged 29 and of Dorchester, and Nigel Geoffrey Moors, aged 51 and of Puddletown, were all sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court in late-January after being found guilty at an earlier trial of conspiracy to kidnap, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and blackmail.
