The dismissal of a state lawsuit filed by retired Hoboken Police Chief Anthony Falco Sr. against a former mayor and the city has been reversed in an appellate court ruling released Thursday.
Falco, who served as police chief from 2009 until his retirement in 2014, claimed in a 2013 lawsuit that he was retaliated against by former Mayor Dawn Zimmer and then-Public Safety Director Jon Tooke for supporting Zimmer’s political opponent and testifying in a wrongful termination trial of another former city public safety director, among other things.
