Children excited to return to Middlewich High School

CHILDREN said they felt relieved and excited to be back in the classroom after studying remotely at home for months. All students returned to Middlewich High School at the same time on Monday as Covid tests were carried out last week. Headteacher Heidi Thurland said: It has been fantastic to see and hear students on the school site. I have very much enjoyed visiting lessons and as always have been impressed by our respectful, engaged young people. Testing is going smoothly once again, a great start for our community. A meticulously planned operation was organised every day last week to test each pupil for coronavirus.

Schoolchildren in Winsford and Middlewich will be tested for Covid

JOY and excitement have greeted the announcement that all children can return to school on March 8. Teachers at Middlewich High and Winsford Academy are reassuring parents that stringent safety measures will be in place and all pupils will be tested for Covid to meet new Government guidelines. Meticulous plans are now being drawn up to work out all the logistics to test pupils regularly, both at school and at home, for coronavirus. The Government wants children to be tested regularly at school and kits will also be provided for families to carry out further tests at home. Heidi Thurland, headteacher of Middlewich High School, said: I am delighted that we will soon see the full return of students.
