Mustang athletes welcome back games

For Medford High School, that means, “Hello, Sports.”
Winter sports tryouts begin on Monday, Dec. 14. It’s welcome news for a high school athletic community that’s been shut down due to COVID-19 since March.
“I’m so excited to start the season,” said Molly Waitt, who is in her second season coaching the Medford girls’ basketball team. “Although the year looks different, it will allow us to support and grow our program and the skills of our players.”
December will be all about tryouts and practices. Medford teams will be busy on the basketball courts, hockey rinks and swimming pools this winter. Other winter sports were pushed into the “Fall 2” season or the late February through April timeframe.
