With a 7.8 market share per cent in March, the city-based airline breached the 10 per cent market share threshold for the first time in June 2014 and barring a few occasions it kept hovering in the sub-10 per cent range till the emergence of the pandemic last year.

A letter to the pilots written by Kaushik Khona, CEO of GoAir, seen by
BusinessLine, stated that the airline had anticipated higher utilisation of pilots in the coming months; however, “because of second wave and upsurge in the number of Covid-19 positive cases in India, the expected increase in utilisation of aircraft is still not seen.”
