Authorities in Wyoming County today have released the names of two women killed in a Gainesville crash as they left a COVID vaccination clinic.
The driver 83 year old Jacqueline Simpson and her passenger, 82 year old Jessie Button, both from Perry, were killed when their Volkswagen bug pulled into the path of another car yesterday afternoon..
Deputies said the women were leaving the vaccination clinic held at the Wyoming County Highway department on Route 19.
The driver of the second car suffered only minor injuries.
A sixth woman has now come forward claiming that she was sexually harassed by Governor Cuomo. The alleged incident happened last year at the governor’s mansion when she went to help him with a work-related matter. ROCK GLEN â Deputies have identified the two women killed Tuesday afternoon as they drove away from a COVID-19 vaccine clinic.
Jacquelin Simpson, 83, of Perry was driving a 2001 Volkswagen, said Wyoming County Sheriff Gregory Rudolph. She was exiting the clinicâs location at the county Highway Department when she pulled into the path of an oncoming Ford Taurus.
Simpson and her passenger was Jessie Button, 82, of Perry died in the accident.
The other driver was identified as Amy Szulewski, 45, of Portage in Livingston County. She was treated for minor injuries at Wyoming County Community Hospital and released from WCCHS.
The crash is being investigated by Deputy Nick Wright in coordination with the sheriffâs Crash Management Team and is continuing.

Two women were killed in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday night in Gainesville, Wyoming County.
Wyoming County Sheriff Gregory Rudolph said that a pickup traveling south on Route 19 struck a car driven by an 83-year-old Perry woman who failed to yield the right of way as she pulled out of the Wyoming County Highway Department, where a vaccination clinic was operating.
Emergency medical technicians from the clinic immediately responded to help the occupants of the vehicles, deputies said.
The two women inside the car driver as Jacquelin Simpson and passenger Jessie Button, 82, both of Perry were pronounced dead at the scene, Rudolph said. The pair had just attended the vaccination clinic just before the crash.
