During lockdown, students have been learning via Zoom - but this week were able to meet their tutors in person at the new premises in Acomb. Strict Covid guidelines apply and the children are allowed inside to do their dance lessons, but have to stay on a marked spot so that they are socially distanced from each other. There are breaks between the lessons to avoid mixing during crossover times and parents and carers must remain outside the venue where they can drop off their children safely.
YORK’S suburbs are enjoying a retail boom in the wake of the pandemic and the working from home revolution. WHAT WE THOUGHT:
The Bay has the makings of a thrilling crime drama – it s set in a seaside town, has a hard-faced detective and enough suspicious subjects to keep you guessing as to who the guilty party is. However, where it fails is in the execution.
The series starts with Lisa Armstrong (Morven Christie), a single mom who goes out for a night on the town with her friends. While at a bar she meets a random, hot stranger, the two have some casual sex in an alleyway, and apparently, that is it for the two of them. But come on, we all know how this goes. It is bound to come back and bite her. I mean, when do we spend five minutes of precious introduction time on a sex scene that isn t important later?
