Raiders release of Rodney Hudson makes no sense - Silver And Black Pride

Monetary reasons: Because of dead money in Hudson’s contract, Las Vegas loses more than $2 million in salary cap room with this release. The thought around the league is that the Raiders don’t want to pay the cash and they want to clear room on next year’s salary cap. That is ridiculous if true. The NFL is a year-to-year business. The Raiders need to do everything they can to build for this season or it’s a total slap in the face of the fanbase. Have heard both sides of this for a few years now that the #Raiders are cash poor. One side (and this includes people in the building) say it s absolutely true. Other side says no chance, that funds are available. Hudson s release looks cash motivated. Shores Residents Step Up For Toys For Tots Drive

One hundred toys that ranging from baby rattles to basketballs, donated by The Coronado Shores residents, are on their way to needy children in San Diego this Christmas. The Shores General Manager Jerry McDonald organized a Toy for Tots drive this year and he is happy with its success. “When I was growing up I was a recipient. Every Christmas I saw the Marine Corps truck with Santa driving down the street giving toys to the kids. I thought it happened everywhere; only later I found out the toys were for the needy,” he said. McDonald eventually joined the Marine Corps and retired after 22 years in 1997. While he was a Marine he organized Toys for Tots drives and collected and gave away toys himself. “I started as a recipient. I’ve been involved… and then since retirement [I’ve done] food and clothes drives,” he said.
