A holiday tradition once beloved by long-time residents of the cityâs historic Burnett Heights neighborhood is making its triumphant return tonight.
People who have lived in the Heights, located in the hills above Gregg Park on Washington Avenue, for many years likely remember a time when three streets in that neighborhood â Burnett, Old Orchard and Audubon â were lined with luminaries on Christmas Eve night.
Itâs a tradition that was popular for years â with vehicles lining those streets, bumper-to-bumper, for hours â but also one that eventually was lost to time.
Relatively new Heights residents Justin and Kelly Lowe, however, upon hearing the tales of luminary-filled Christmases past, have decided to bring it back.
