Fayetteville police are looking for two men they say tried to rob at gunpoint a man using an ATM at Cross Creek Mall.
One of the men then shot at the victim s vehicle when he drove away, said Fayetteville Police Officer Jeremy Strickland, a department spokesman.
The attempted robbery and shooting happened Feb. 19 around 9 p.m. at the Bank of America ATM at the mall. Police said the man was making a deposit at the ATM when he spotted two males step out of a black Chevrolet Malibu and approach him.
A second vehicle possibly an SUV was parked next to the Malibu and may have also been involved in the incident, Strickland said.

Police are seeking the public s help in finding the family of a man found dead beneath a Fayetteville bridge earlier this week.
The body of Albert Lee, 80, was discovered Tuesday, according to a release from the Fayetteville Police Department. Further details of Lee s death were not released. Officials don t consider the death suspicious at this time, the release states.
Lee has lived in the Fayetteville area for several years, Officer Jeremy Strickland said.
Anyone with information regarding Lee s next of kin is asked to contact Detective J. Arnold at 910-824-9539.
