SAGINAW, MI A Detroit woman is facing a life offense for allegedly running over her Saginaw boyfriend, causing him to lose his leg.
Police on Wednesday, Dec. 16, arrested Asiana L. McKinney on an outstanding warrant authorities had issued back on Oct. 28. The next day her 34th birthday McKinney appeared via Zoom from the Saginaw County Jail before Saginaw County District Judge A.T. Frank for arraignment on one count of assault with intent to murder, punishable by up to life in prison.
The charge stems from an incident that occurred in the early morning hours of Oct. 4 at Lapeer Avenue and Veterans Memorial Parkway in Saginaw. Prosecutors said McKinney, her 33-year-old boyfriend, and her boyfriend’s brother were in a vehicle together when they began arguing.
