Worker Rescued After Medical Emergency at Center City Philadelphia High-Rise Construction Site – NBC10 Philadelphia

Smith Crews rushed to the construction site of a Center City Philadelphia high-rise building Friday after a worker suffered a medical emergency dozens of stories high. The rescue effort started around 10:25 a.m. on the 41st floor at the site where Arthaus Philadelphia is being built along South Broad Street near Spruce Street, Philadelphia Deputy Fire Chief Gerald Boyle said at the scene. The 60-year-old construction worker was in stable condition as he was being lowered down to an ambulance after being stabilized, Boyle said.

High-rise rescue: Construction worker saved from 41st floor of Philadelphia building

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) An injured construction worker was rescued from the 41st floor of a high-rise on Friday morning in Center City Philadelphia. The fire department received the call for help at 10:24 a.m. at the site of new construction on the corner of Broad and Spruce streets near the Kimmel Center. Specially trained fire department personnel were able to aide the 60-year-old man and bring him down safely in less than an hour. We used our technical rescue personnel, who are specially trained to operate on these upper floors, especially those under construction, to stabilize the worker and we brought him down safely, said Deputy Fire Chief Gerald Boyle.
