The Other Guys: New England Revolution

The Other Guys: New England Revolution We spoke to a Revs expert to find out what to expect on Saturday in Foxboro Share this story Photo by Maddie Meyer/Getty Images Ahead of the a few questions about the club Bruce Arena has turned into an Eastern Conference contender. OaM: Not traditionally the most attention-grabbing club in the league, the Revs have quietly become the early frontrunners in the Eastern Conference. What magic has Bruce Arena spun this time to turn a club towards contender status? Honestly, pretty much what Bruce does at every stop he’s had in MLS - he just builds good rosters and keeps things simple. Jay Heaps was never given the financial support (outside of Jermaine Jones) to get the roster to the next level and Brad Friedel tried too hard to implement a strict Euro style locker room that eventually backfired spectacularly for him.
