OaM: Not traditionally the most attention-grabbing club in the league, the Revs have quietly become the early frontrunners in the Eastern Conference. What magic has Bruce Arena spun this time to turn a club towards contender status?
Honestly, pretty much what Bruce does at every stop he’s had in MLS - he just builds good rosters and keeps things simple. Jay Heaps was never given the financial support (outside of Jermaine Jones) to get the roster to the next level and Brad Friedel tried too hard to implement a strict Euro style locker room that eventually backfired spectacularly for him.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Birmingham Legion FC announced this Saturdayâs match versus Memphis 901 FC has been moved and will be played at historic Legion Field, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30pm CT.
The game was moved with support from Mayor Randall Woodfin and the City of Birmingham, as well as City Council President William Parker and the Birmingham Parks and Recreation Board.

BIRMINGHAM Two days shy of the start of the 2021 USL Championship season, Birmingham’s professional soccer franchise hosted a media day event.
Reporters and fans gathered at BBVA Field on Thursday morning for an open practice session followed by a press conference with Legion FC players, coaches and ownership.
Birmingham is scheduled to open up its third season at home on Saturday, May 1 when Indy Eleven travels in. Kickoff from BBVA Field is set for 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Coming off back-to-back playoff appearances, the club expects nothing less in 2021.
Lee Stylslinger III, a member of the Legion FC ownership team, was on hand Thursday alongside President and General Manager Jay Heaps, head coach Tommy Soehn, defender Alex Crognale and midfielder Mikey Lopez.
