A NEW app focused on helping local businesses that can help you book somewhere to eat in seconds is set to launch in the coming weeks. Table In Furness is a new table booking service for Furness which will allow people to go onto an app and find all the available table reservations for the date, time and number of people they require. It is a free app to use and the idea behind it is that it is really easy to eat out, and help establishments get back on their feet and fill their tables post-lockdown. This was created by three Barrovians, Jay Crowe, Matt Morrison, and Callum Ramsay after Mr Crowe had a conversation with his girlfriend over how tricky it was to book anywhere to eat, then just over a year later following months of work putting this together, this app is about to become a reality.
One lucky Furness-based business will receive a free website including support for 12 months courtesy of Web District. Web District is a newly-formed, Barrow-based digital design agency, with a wealth of experience in developing premium websites for local businesses. Directors Callum Ramsay and Jay Crowe are eager to start 2021 with a bang. They said: “We understand what this prize could mean for a small business which is either starting up or looking to grow, and for this reason we have decided to do our bit and offer such an amazing opportunity. “We do not know what is ahead of us in these uncertain times and having that online presence could ensure the business can continue to trade, securing the jobs of the employees and their future.
