‘I do.’ Rules relax on weddings as catering hall capacity increase to 150 people

Today is a big day for people in the Hudson Valley who are planning a wedding, or had their wedding canceled
because of the pandemic.
Starting today, catering halls can operate at 50% capacity, and maximum guest
capacity has increased to 150.
There are still some restrictions in place:
All guests must be tested prior to the event - showing proof of a
negative COVID-19 test or a vaccination card.
Guests must provide contact information - for potential contract
tracing.
Masks and social distancing are required, and there must be designated

POWNAL â The local public library and elementary school recently received new books through a grant worth around $5,000.
Under the Rural Libraries grant of the Childrenâs Literacy Foundation, the Solomon Wright Public Library got $2,500 worth of new books, $250 toward supplies for a pre-kindergarten reading program as well as free books for Pownal students.
The Pownal Elementary School Library, on the other hand, was awarded $500 worth of digital books and two storytelling events for local students.
Both libraries received their chosen books in mid-December after being identified as grant awardees in August, said Jen Ryan, director of the Solomon Wright Public Library, who applied for the grant.

Over the past three weeks, the Screening Committee met to review applications and interview candidates for the position of Superintendent of Schools. The Screening Committee reviewed all the applications and subsequently selected a number of candidates who were invited to meet with the screening committee for a preliminary interview.
Following the preliminary interviews, and after much discussion and consideration, the screening committee voted to recommend four candidates for further consideration by the School Committees of Dover and Sherborn.
