Columbus Zoo board seeks integrity
By Jennifer Smola - The Columbus Dispatch
Jerry Borin poses with lorikeets at the Columbus Zoo in 2008. Borin, who had previously been the zoo’s top executive from 1992 to 2008, came out of retirement earlier this spring to lead the zoo on an interim basis after Tom Stalf resigned as president and CEO.
Columbus Zoo and Aquarium board members hope their next CEO and president will bring high integrity, experience running a complex organization and a commitment to diversity, they said this week.
The zoo plans to hire a search firm to help find a new leader, a process it hopes will conclude by August or September, according to board members.
