FARGO-MOORHEAD (KVRR) – Clean Up Week began Monday in Moorhead, Dilworth, Fargo and West Fargo.
In Fargo, a collection schedule map is available to figure out your scheduled recycling day. If you live in week B, your collection is this week. If you are in week A, your collection will be in the next week.
In West Fargo, it’s a one week event only.
Once your old junk is picked up it will be handled properly by the city.
“The garbage that is collected goes to the city of Fargo’s landfill. The tires we keep them separate they go to a tire processing facility and the appliances get brought to several different places for recycling,” Fargo Recycling Coordinator Jen Pickett said.
Cleanup Week rules for all cities
Separate items of the same type into distinct piles (tires, appliances, furniture, brush, household garbage, etc.). Separate trucks collect the items.
Place garbage in disposable containers, except for oversized items.
Do not set items out more than one day early.
Crews will not return to pick up garbage set out too late.
Remove refrigerator and freezer doors. Do not place food or any other waste inside appliances.
Items must be from residences; no commercial waste will be accepted. Keep household garbage at least four feet away from other Cleanup Week items.

FARGO With temperatures in the 60s and only one day forecast to have rain, Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo will welcome sunshine along with the yearly tradition of curbside cleanup starting Monday, May 3. It looks like a nice week, and we re excited as it looks like plenty of sun and no rain, said West Fargo Sanitation Director Logan Jacobson.

WEST FARGO No decisions have been made on whether curbside spring Cleanup Weeks will return in metro cities, but West Fargo Sanitation Manager Logan Jacobson said it s likely to return to the city in May. I m sure there will be one, but we haven t made a decision or determined any details, he said.
