CONCORD, N.C. Amy Michelle Jones is tired of folks speeding near the intersection of Odell School Road and Windy Road in Cabarrus County.
Jones has owned acres of farm land near that Concord intersection for nearly 20 years and frequently walks her horses near there. She says drivers are using Odell School Road as a shortcut to get to Mooresville, Charlotte or I-85 rather than using Kannapolis Parkway, a four-lane divided highway just a few miles up the road.

This is the 14th Mint Theater revival that I ve reviewed since 2005, and the 14th time I ve raved about the results. Such unfailing excellence merits much wider recognition. Thompson said the number of cars that use these roads per day and also the existing condition of the roads were the primary factors.
“Because we know Charlotte continues to grow and more people are moving here we’re going to see more traffic so we need to extend the service life of these roads, Thompson said.
So how will it affect your commute?
“We intend to do the majority of this work probably at night because of the heavy traffic but again it starts sometime in March and they can keep on going until next Spring, Thompson said.
