The students of Lincoln Elementary School received just that during their Mar. 1 assembly. Students assembled in their individual classrooms for a zoom assembly featuring School Counselor, Becca Natwick and Hero Squad Campaign Manager Jennifer Stein. The presentation began with a short video, during which, students learned about leukemia and other cancers like leukemia. In the video, a woman named Maya, explained that cancers like leukemia occur when white blood cells multiply out of control.
