A Louisiana Policy Institute for Children survey of providers in June found that these businesses had lost on average $110,000 per center, translating to an estimated $137.5 million in collective losses statewide. The Institute is currently collecting data from a new survey, and Executive Director Libbie Sonnier said it could reveal more losses.
