Judge: Crash victim s toxicology report not admissible as evidence

A St. Clair County Circuit Court judge ruled a crash victim s toxicology report will not be admissible evidence in the case of a woman who is charged for allegedly causing the crash.
Tonya Russell, is charged with operating under the influence causing death, failure to report an accident and open container in a vehicle for allegedly causing a Nov. 9 crash that killed 55-year-old Greenwood Township resident Dennis Jones.
St. Clair County Senior Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Jennifer Deegan said during a motion hearing Monday toxicology reports of the victim s blood samples are not relevant to the case and should not be admissible as evidence.
