Jason Lowe, 39, and Paul Madden, 40, both of Hawick, have been jailed TWO BORDERS men who took part in a break-in at a pub have been jailed at Jedburgh Sheriff Court. Jason Lowe, 39, and Paul Madden, 40, both of Hawick, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft by housebreaking at the Trinity Bar in Duke Street, Hawick, on Sunday (May 23). Cash, a charity tin and bottles of alcohol were stolen in the night-time raid. Both men appeared from custody at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday when Lowe was jailed for eight months and Madden received a six-month prison sentence. Lowe pleaded guilty to a second charge of breaching his bail conditions but a not guilty plea to possession of a class B drug was accepted by the Crown.
