Artsfest is a tradition for Dan Griffin and his beloved dog, Winston. It s definitely one of the kick-starters for spring and summer, Griffin said as he paused to snap some pictures of Winston sitting down on historic Walnut Street.
Griffin said he likes the atmosphere of Artsfest and the chance to connect with local artists. And he s not just window shopping, Griffin said he usually makes a few purchases as well.
Last year, Griffin and his pug had to stay home during the first weekend in May as the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of Artsfest for the only time in the event s 40-year history.

The regeneration consultancy has made two appointments to its office in the city, with Richard Grocott and Jessica Lowe joining Andy Delaney’s team.
Founded in 2009 by chairman Atam Verdi and managing director Ben Aspinall, the copany’s headcount now stands at 23 across its headquarters in Leeds and regional offices in London and Liverpool, the latter headed since 2019 by ex-Colliers and Lambert Smith Hampton man Delaney.
Grocott, who has joined as consultant, has most recently spent four years in the Westminster office of Fylde MP Mark Menzies, with work including support for a successful bid by Fylde Council for Kirkham to secure almost £6.3m from the Government’s Future High Streets Fund.
