In November 2020, Vincentian Tamira Browne was one of four Toastmasters to be conferred the revered designation and status of Distinguished Toastmaster by Toastmasters International. The other awardees were Melinda Lloyd and Jeffrey Azan from Kingston, Jamaica and Jefferson Charles from Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Browne, a member of the Imperial Champions Toastmasters Club accomplished this significant milestone by completing 41 speech projects, serving her club and community in various leadership capacities, and mentoring scores of persons for the improvement of their communication and leadership skills.
In her tenure as a Toastmaster, Distinguished Toastmaster Tamira Browne served as the President of Imperial Champions Toastmasters Club from December 2013 to June 2014 and also served in other capacities such as Vice President Education and Sergeant-at-Arms. She also successfully completed her term as Area Director for the year, 2019-2020.
