STUDENTS at a school in Somerset celebrated in style during their prom - despite Covid-19 restrictions not lifting in time. Year 11 pupils at Bridgwater College Academy were meant to have a traditional prom at a separate venue, but could not due to the Government guidelines. Luckily they still managed to celebrate with a garden party at the school. At 3pm on June 25, once all the students had left, staff transformed the outside into a garden party venue, with bunting, fairy lights and other decorations. The students arrived at 5pm and had photos and a welcome drink. They were served canapes and desserts by staff volunteers and could order a variety of different mocktails.
