A Jefferson City-based magazine company is expanding its reach with the acquisition of a North Kansas City company.
Modern Litho s acquisition of Watkins Lithographic, which is set to go through Aug. 1, will increase the company s production capacity and enhance its suite of services, according to the announcement.
Modern Litho is a full-service magazine, catalog and commercial printer in Jefferson City with national reach. After the successful acquisition of James Printing in 2018, we knew we wanted to expand our Kansas City footprint, said Darrell Moore, Modern Litho president.

The Columbia/Boone County Health Department said it will give recommendations rather than orders.Â
âWearing masks, social distancing, and avoiding mass gatherings are still the best ways to keep our loved ones safe, Browning said at the briefing last week. We ll keep working on education and vaccination.
