If you’re itching to travel but realized during the past year that you didn’t miss the crowds at the beach and the crush at the bar, the Caribbean island of Saba might just be for you.
And while you’re there, you can hike up to the highest point in the Netherlands.
Saba, a five-square mile volcanic island, is the smallest of the islands in the Dutch Caribbean where the U.S. dollar is the currency and where English is the principal language.
But what makes Saba something quite extraordinary is the range of terrains and climates packed into that space. Twenty-six percent of the island is a national park and its waters are home to an extensive marine park.
